What we absolutely love about this dessert is that it is so delectable yet so easy to make, and it only takes one hour to make with 40 minutes of baking time in the oven! If you are looking to have more of a brownie like texture for your pudding, bake for 30 minutes instead.
Serve this chocolate pudding with some strawberries to add some fruitiness, and some cream to cut the sweetness and richness of the chocolate pudding and sauce. You can also serve with a homed made or store bought (whatever you prefer) vanilla bean ice cream if you wish- we suggest a plain and more muted flavour such as vanilla or strawberry sorbet to add some freshness and not overwhelm the palate and take away from the richness of the pudding.

- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 ⅓ cup hot water
- ¾ brown sugar
- 250 ml cake flour
- 10 ml baking powder
- 2 ml salt
- 125 ml sugar
- 30 ml cocoa powder
- 125 ml milk
- 5 ml vanilla essence
- 30 ml melted butter
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees in a saucepan, heat all the sauce ingredients together, and pour into a greased oven dish
- Mix all the batter ingredients together and drip spoonfuls in the sauce
- Place in the oven for 40 minutes
- Serve with cream, strawberries, or ice cream
