Instructions
Prepare the Crumb Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, add the cold butter and flour.
Use your fingertips to gently rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Lift your fingers above the bowl while rubbing to help aerate the mixture, ensuring a lighter texture.
Heat the Milk:
Slowly bring the milk to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
Combine the Ingredients:
Once the milk reaches a boil, gradually sprinkle in small handfuls of the flour mixture while whisking continuously.
Keep whisking to prevent lumps from forming.
Simmer:
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for at least
5 minutes
, stirring occasionally.
The mixture will thicken into a smooth, porridge-like consistency.
Serve:
Spoon into bowls and generously sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Serve warm and enjoy!
